About Us

Keith and his sons Sam and Jack are the most recent owners of The Pack Horse in Northborough. A family from nearby Werrington Village, who feel they have what it takes to build The Pack Horse into the food and drink hotspot it deserves to be. Keith, comes from a background of vast culinary experience working in some of London’s top hotels and restaurants as well as most recently in food development, weddings and conferences.

Keith, Sam and Jack feel that by encouraging local links within the village community and giving the right amount of care and attention to all areas of The Pack Horse, it can gain a reputation as a pub with not only fantastic locally sourced food, but also one with attentive friendly service and a vibrant atmosphere.

The family took over The Pack Horse on the 11th October 2012 and have already undertaken vast refurbishment of both the bar and restaurant areas. Currently the pub offers an Evening Menu and Bar Menu running from Wednesday to Saturday as well as a Sunday Lunch Menu. However, there is much more to come. With Quiz Nights, Live Music and Karaoke Nights planned the journey has just begun. Keep up to date with all recent news and upcoming events at The Pack Horse by 'Following us on Twitter' and 'Liking us on Facebook'.

About Northborough

Northborough is a small village near the city of Peterborough in the East of England.

Northborough manor is a fortified manor house, largely built by Roger de Norburgh in the early fourteenth century. A short way away is the parish church of St. Andrew, of which the original Norman sections date back to the late twelfth century.

The village underwent its largest change in the 1970s, when it expanded hugely with the building of the new estate, increasing the population of the village many times over.

As well as The Pack Horse (the only pub in the village) it has a shop, a school and a small castle.
